Red & Blue Vein Removal
Facial Veins
What causes facial veins?
These broken veins and capillaries are found in men and women mainly on the face, which are caused either by age, trauma, sun exposure or alcohol.
How can they be treated?
Intense Pulse Light or Laser treatment can eliminate damaged veins and capillaries by targeting the light energy on the facial veins. The light energy is absorbed by the haemoglobin and converted to heat energy. Blood coagulates and the vessel wall collapses. In time the vessel is broken down and absorbed by the body.
How many treatments will I require?
Patients can see dramatic improvements following a few treatments. Clearly the exact number depends on the patient’s initial skin condition prior to treatment. The important thing to remember is the high specification IPL /Laser equipment used generates improved results at each application due to the flexibility of the parameters and that greatly reduces the number of visits required. At Beauty Advance Laser Clinic we operate high specification equipment that requires the use of a skilled practitioner who will optimise the setting for each patient and at each subsequent visit.
Are the treatments painful?
There is slight discomfort sometimes described as a sting or snap of an elastic band but here at beauty advance we use a Cryo Zimmer cooler so it can be virtually pain free. Every client has a different pain threshold, therefore, some people can tolerate it more than others. The treatments are so effective that patients can return immediately to work or their daily routine as there is no down time.
Leg Veins
What are they?
Leg veins are an unsightly problem for men and women of varying age groups and skin types. They can either be small (spider veins), or larger (reticular). There are many factors that contribute to the development of veins including pregnancy, weight gain, prolonged standing, and can be hereditary.
Conventionally veins were usually treated with surgery or scierotheropy, which in itself can cause scarring, hyper-pigmentation and brown staining and in some cases skin necrosis, the breaking down of the skin.
Spider veins form when excess blood backs up in the blood stream. The body releases this pressure by developing new veins.
How can they be treated?
We offer a treatment called Sclerotherapy through our Cosmetic Doctor. Please click here for more details.
When will you see results?
Results can be seen immediately after the application of the laser/IPL.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments required will depend on the extent of your veins. We recommend on average 1-3. During each treatment we can achieve substantial results due to the fact we have the best equipment which is IPL/ laser.
Are the treatments painful?
Patients often refer the feeling as a tingling sensation each time the laser fires the flash. Patients are able to return to work or go about their daily routines straight away, so there is no loss of time…Hoorah…
Cherry Angiomas (Blood Spots)
We have two methods of removal; Laser and Sterex Diathermy.
Laser – We use either a Dye VL Laser or Nd:YAG Laser to zap the blood spot with pulses of concentrated laser energy to allow the area to absorb the wave lengths, generating heat and destroying the blood vessels without damaging the surrounding skin
Can take around 14 days for the area to heal, and we will review it 4 weeks after receiving your first treatment.
You will be started with a test patch for £30, and then full treatment starts from £65 per treatment.
Sterex Diathermy – Short wave Diathermy (also known as electro-coagulation) is a very effective way to treat blood spots. A very fine Gold needle is used to prick the skin and then an electrical current is passed through the area, which is heated and cauterized. To find out more, Click here
