Mole & Skin Tag Removal Cardiff

You have the choice of two methods of removal for these types of concerns such as Sterex Electrolysis (Thermolysis) which is a  heat treatment and our NEW Cryopen™ which is a freezing method of treatment.

SKIN TAG REMOVAL

Skin tags are made of loose collagen fibres and blood vessels surrounded by skin. Collagen is a type of protein found throughout the body, and are small, soft, skin-coloured growths on your skin. They can vary in colour and size – from a few millimetres up to 5cm wide.

They are usually found on the neck, armpits, around the groin, or under the breasts, and they can also grow on the eyelids or under the folds of the buttocks.

They can look like warts, but skin tags are usually:

  • Smooth and soft (warts tend to be rougher with an irregular surface)
  • Knobbly and hang off the skin (warts are usually slightly raised or flat)
  • Not contagious (warts spread very easily, so a sudden outbreak or cluster of growths is more likely to be warts)
  • These are harmless but can get bigger if left untreated.

At Beauty Advance we offer Thermolysis treatment which cauterizes the area and is a quick, easy and effective method of skin tag removal and is safe to use in all areas – even between eyelashes. This results in immediate removal of the tag and can take only seconds depending on tag size.

Our Specialist Practitioner is available every Wednesday between 11am – 7pm.

You will be offered a FREE no obligation consultation on the day, with the opportunity to have treatment done on the same day too if you are happy with recommended treatment plans and prices.

May need a medical note from you doctor, to ensure the area has been checked over and named as benign, as some moles are skin coloured and can look like a skin tag.

Price start from £120 per treatment*

You will be expected to return to the clinic 4 weeks after your first treatment for a review, and if we believe you may need further treatment, you will be offered the chance to have it the same day.

MOLE REMOVAL

Our In-House Doctor provides this service.

You will be expected to provide a medical note from your Doctor, that states the mole has been check and is benign before we would proceed with any treatment.

There are two methods available for treating Moles, which are Radio Surgery or Excisional Biopsy Technique.

Radio Surgery is a specialised energy device that scoops out all the pigmented skin, leaving behind a shallow crater. This is the best method as it will leave the least amount of scarring (if any at all) and pigmentation changes in the area.

Excisional Biopsy Technique is where the mole has had to be cut out of the skin, leaving behind skin and tissue defects that look like a valley, which is then closed with stitches. This technique is used when the appearance or behaviour of the benign mole suggests that it be examined by a Histopathologist, allowing a accurate diagnosis of the nature of the mole. This may leave you with scar, and in most instances will fade over a year or two (we also offer scar reduction treatment that can help with this).

Prices start from £200 per treatment.
